Little Boxes, on the hillside; little boxes made of Ticky-tacky.
Little boxes, little boxes, little boxes; all the same.
There’s a black one. And a grey one. And a white one, and a brown one.
And they’re all made out of ticky-tacky; and they all look just the same.
And the people; in the boxes; once went to the university.
Where they were put in boxes; and they came out all the same.
There’s a lawyer, and a doctor, and a drop out and a stripper.
And now they’re all in boxes, and now they’re all the same.
Little boxes, on the hillside;little boxes all six feet down.
Little boxes, under new life; little boxes under town.
There’s Agrestic. And Owego. And Vestal. And Binghamton.
Little boxes; all forgotten; little boxes make no sound.
Now there’s a green one. And a blue one. And a pink one and a yellow one.
And they’re all made out of ticky-tacky; and they all look just the same.
And the people; in these boxes; live the same lives as the one’s below.
Go to law school. Go to pre-med. Come out boxes.Yet, do not know;
Live a nice life. Live a bad life. All end up boxes; where they once sat.
Little boxes.; waiting patiently. For new boxes to come back.
